A rigless casing remediation technique that restores well integrity in wells with shallow production casing leaks.

OPS offers a casing remediation technique that restores well integrity in wells with shallow production casing leaks.
A thin wall steel liner (patch) is permanently bonded inside the production casing using low temperature alloy. The alloy is physically and chemically stable, non-toxic, corrosion resistant and expands on solidification resulting in a gas tight seal. Molten alloy and the patch are safely deployed into the well via a patented tool string and deployment process.
Casing remediation is performed riglessly and typically takes less than four hours to complete. Multiple patches can be ‘stacked’ from maximum depth back to surface (and into the wellhead if required) to create a continuous, permanent barrier.
The liner internal diameter is larger than all other commercially available patch options, ensuring post-remediation completions can be run in hole with confidence. The patented technology is specifically aimed at remedying shallow corrosion failures resulting from poorly cemented casing strings.
